Embark on a rare overnight eco-adventure to Bay Canh Island — Vietnam’s most important sea turtle nesting site. Sleep under the stars, witness mother turtles lay their eggs, release hatchlings at dawn, and explore the island’s wild beauty. Led by expert guides with professional cameras and drones, this experience is equal parts nature, conservation, and unforgettable magic. Available only a few months each year — book early!.
DAY 1
3:00 PM – Departure
Meet at the Tourist Pier. Enjoy a scenic 30–45 minute boat ride to Bay Canh Island.
Arrival & Setup
Take a short walk through the forest. Settle into two-person tents with air mattresses, mosquito nets, and fans.
Sunset & Relaxation
Unwind on the beachside deck, enjoy the sunset, or stargaze after dark.
5:00 PM – Turtle Conservation Talk
Our English and Spanish-speaking guide will explain:
– How turtles nest
– Conservation efforts from forest rangers
– Interesting turtle facts
7:00 PM – Night Wildlife Walk
Explore the island’s mangrove ecosystem with headlamps. You may spot large tank crabs,lizards, and even monitor lizards.
Dinner (Before or After Night Walk)
Enjoy a meal at the island restaurant either before or after the wildlife walk (meals not included; bring cash). Let your guide know your preference as soon as possible so your meals can pre-prepared.
Stargazing
If the sky is clear, enjoy an unforgettable night under the stars and the Milky Way.
Turtle Nesting Experience
Rest in your tent while the guide monitors for turtle activity.
If nesting begins, you’ll be gently woken to witness the egg-laying process.
DAY 2
Sunrise Viewing
Wake early to watch a beautiful sunrise. Our guide brings professional cameras and drones to capture the moment.
6:00 AM – Baby Turtle Release
Guests will be given a small basket of hatchlings by park rangers to release into the sea.
Return Before Breakfast
We return to main island before 8:00 AM.

Important Information
- Arrive at the pier by 2:45 PM
- Wear comfortable trail shoes
- Follow the rules given by the National Park (gentle steps and low volume)
- Cameras and Phones must all be set No Flash
- Beach access only permitted with park rangers
- Toilets are available on the island
- Bring cash for meals and drinks
- Recommended: mosquito repellent, long clothing, comfortable sleepwear
- Children under 15 participate (must be accompanied by an adult)

Frequently Asked Questions
Till now, Con Dao is connected to mainland by flights and passenger boats. There is no Ferry. All equipments, spare parts, fuel, food… must be transported by cargo boats which is quite pricy.
Con Dao is well reserved which makes renting and food more expensive than main land and other islands.
Very few late night entertaining possibility also makes our staff bored (and therefore it’s kind of hard and expensive to recruit).
We don’t offer hotel pick-up because the town in Con Dao is very small. The Tourist Pier is 15-20 minutes from most hotels.
Round trip transfer for
– Six Senses can be arranged with an extra fee of 400,000VND for a 4 seater and 800,000VND for a 16 seater.
– Poulo Condor or Orsen can be arranged with an extra fee of 600,000VND for a 4 seater and 1,000,000VND for a 16 seater.

Lunch is not included in the trip as our trip only takes half a day. We do have refreshment onboard (fruits, chocolate, snacks, drinking water).
